The Test of Time – To Kill a Mockingbird

This is the 50th anniversary of the publication of the book “To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. This incredible book was the only one she ever wrote – and it won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature. The book was loosely based on Harper Lee’s own life and has been made into a movie and plays. It has stood the test of time because it touches on issues that were not only important in its day, but continue to be of importance today. Issues such as courage, racism, integrity, tolerance, and family pride.

Challenged many times by various school districts and others, it has withstood censorship and continues to be one of the most important classic books for everyone to read.

And something this author can only dream of achieving. To Miss Lee, Happy Anniversary.
